An inside grill is an effective way to cook lots of meals. Did you know that you can cook a number of very tasty shiitake mushrooms with just a few moments of time? Grab your favorite open style indoor grill, whether that is a George Foreman grill or whatever other brand, and a bunch of shiitake mushrooms that are around 8 ounces each. This particular recipe tends to work the best with an open style grill that can lay flat, rather than a closed style or contact grill that has a pair of sides that shut on top of each other.

You will have to start by cleaning off the mushrooms to get rid of any dirt or other debris. After that, take some time to cut off the stems from all of your mushrooms since that part doesn't taste very good. Here is where the real fun starts, put each one of the following ingredients into a bowl to create a marinade for your mushrooms...

1 tablespoon of crushed garlic

1 teaspoon of minced rosemary

1 tablespoon of olive oil

1 tablespoon of tamari

1 tablespoon of the sesame oil

1 dash of salt and black pepper

These ingredients alone will taste very good as a marinade, but if you would like to add a little bit extra into the flavorings you can add in 1 teaspoon of maple syrup. Lots of people usually do not expect the maple syrup but it really binds then entire listing of ingredients together to generate something especially tasty. Plus, the sugar helps to add a bit of caramelization during the grilling process.

After you are done mixing all of the ingredients together in one bowl, toss in the shiitake mushrooms and let all of it marinate for about 5 minutes. You can't let them marinate for any more than ten minutes or the mushrooms will become soggy and soft -- soggy mushrooms don't grill very easily.

The finishing part of the recipe is straightforward. Just take the mushrooms out of the marinade and throw them onto your grill. Even though this part is simple, you have to pay attention so your mushrooms won't burn at all. The secret behind a wonderful tasting mushroom is to let it get lightly charred but not all the way burned. Keep you eyes on the color and don't turn or flip the mushrooms until they become pretty dark in color.

There are a large number of cool recipes that you can take advantage of using about any indoor grill. Take some time to learn as many recipes as you can and you will definitely never get sick of grilling inside your kitchen.
